The Story of the Green Star Green Star Design LLC was founded by Tiffany Lauren Gilbert in January of 2002 as an independent freelance studio in Evanston, Illinois. Tiffany graduated in 1990 from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and minors in both English and Marketing. In 1991 she started working at a small company in Schaumburg, Illinois doing marketing, accounting, typing, ordering pizzas and answering phones, and just about everything else. Finding her true love was graphic design, she ended up working in the Marketing Department full time and had a lot of fun doing it. In 1997 her beloved company was bought and swallowed up by One Of The Big Three Credit Bureaus. Sadly, she watched the company slowly dismantled and forced to align itself to the Ways of the Lame Corporation, taking all fun and creativity of her job along with it. In 2001 she left the corporate world behind and started Green Star Design to bring back the fun and creativity she craved. After a move to Barrington Hills, IL and a marriage, she is happy to report that life is fun again as she spends her days doing what she loves best: designing.
